www.brickfilms.com is the place where you can a huge community with tips, tricks and a truckload of brickfilms to get you inspired.
Some of my "Heroes" of Brickfilming are:
- Blunty3000 (Nate Burr) with many hilarious Brickfilms, including his music video "Circle Circle Dot Dot" (note the number of views!) and the MeatSpace Brickfilms he created for an Australian TV network.
- Spite Your Face Productions Ltd. with classic masterpieces like Monty Python and the Holy Grail in LEGO and Spider-Man: The Peril of Doc Ock.
- Brick-Tastic! Films (Nick Maniatis) who produced many interesting Brickfilms since 2002, and is not afraid to share his experience through his website.
- Lieberman Bros. (Matthew Lieberman, Cody Lieberman and Ryan Saxe) who excell with their well built sets and brilliant image quality, shown e.g. in a "Cal & Matt" episodes like Deep Space, Twilight Trouble or Copyright Craze.
- TwoBit Productions (Ryan Boyle), Shale Productions (Colin Boyle), and Captain Bulldog (Jason Boyle) create their own custom props and minifig heads from clay and produced (among many other Brickfilms) the brilliant "Hide and Suck" sequel and Jason's amazing Monster Mash music video.
- Nathan Wells produced some very good Brickfilms with horribly complex animation sequences, including Driven.
- Nosniborus Productions (Robinson Wood) produces the most amazing fight scenes you will see anywhere. Check out Grace for a sample of his animation skills.
- Oblong Pictures has made Brickfilming into a true art both visually and conceptually. Check out his website and masterpieces like Bowling for Sandercoe or Pneuma to judge for yourself.
- James FM Productions (James Maduzia) created a number of extremely funny Brickfilms, like e.g. The Letter.
- MrFerder (Jonathan Williams) created the hilarious "Secret of Monkey Island 1&3/4" Episode 1 and Episode 2 and "The Museum" Brickfilms.
- DapperDanMan1400 (Aaron Romanick) and partners created an amazing CGI Brickfilm called Lego Space Battle.
- Brick-Potter.de (Mario Baumgartner) produced a series of Harry Potter trailers that are truly amazing. Check out The Making of HP6 and the resulting brickfilm. He also created a hilarious Brickfilm with brilliant effects about a visionary caveman, called "Stonetime".
